Family visit

We were very excited to have Lisa's sister and her family visit in August/September. Everybody had a great time hiking, kayaking, fishing and seeing many of the sights around southwest Alaska.

Moose sightings..many of them!!

Here is a fairly common sighting around the housing areas on base and throughout Anchorage. They definitely deserve some respect, and are quite content to stand in the middle of the street and just make us wait for them to move along. We don't see them as much in the winter, but every once in a while, one will make an appearance.

Anchorage Elementary Cross Country Jamboree

Zach ran 1 mile through some very muddy woods in the boys division of the Cross Country race. He finished without stopping even once.

Abbey and Megan ran 1/2 mile through muddy woods as well as they ran in the early elementary girl's division. It was a wet, cold experience.
